Trellis Careers ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
Trellis Careers is currently operated by Helen Clifford as an individual/sole trader based in the UK. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can contact us at info@trelliscareers.com.
1. Who we are
Trellis Careers is a career-change platform helping people explore new career paths, particularly in British Wine. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

2. What information we collect
When you sign up through our website, we may collect:
Your name
Your email address
Information about your current situation (e.g. current job status, education stage)
Information about why you're interested in a career change
Any optional information you choose to share (e.g. industries of interest, how you heard about us)
We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health, religion, or ethnicity) through this form, and we ask that you don't include this in any free-text fields.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
Get in touch with you about relevant career opportunities, mentorship, and industry pathways
Understand who is interested in Trellis Careers so we can improve and shape our services
Send occasional updates about Trellis Careers, if you've consented to this
We will not use your information for any purpose beyond what's described here without asking you first.
4. Our lawful basis for processing
We rely on your consent as the lawful basis for collecting and using your information, given at the point you submit the sign-up form. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see Section 7).
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information with trusted service providers who help us run this website and communicate with you (for example, our website hosting provider, Squarespace, and/or an email service such as Mailchimp). These providers only process your data on our instructions and are bound by their own data protection obligations.
If Trellis Careers ever transitions into a limited company, CIC, or partnership involving other individuals or organisations (e.g. mentors, training partners, employers), we will only share your information with them if it is relevant to a service you've expressed interest in, and we will make this clear at the time.
6. How long we keep your information
We will keep your information for as long as it's relevant to helping you with your career search, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If we haven't been in contact with you for 24 months, we will delete or anonymise your data unless you've asked us to keep it.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
Ask what personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate information
Ask us to delete your information
Withdraw your consent to us contacting you at any time

8. Cookies and website analytics
[If you use Squarespace's built-in analytics or any cookie-based tools, add a line here — e.g.: "This website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings."]
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as Trellis Careers grows. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
